LOT TEN81 is made up of 2 separate ERFs that equate to three quarters of a city block in New Doornfontein. On these 2 ERFs stand 4 corrugated iron heritage sheds that served as workshops to the mining industry a good 70 to 80 years ago. While there is no conclusive evidence, it's likely that these are the oldest standing structures in the neighbourhood. The 5th building on the property used to belong to the same collection of workshops but was revived and re-inhabited by Keithsons in 2001. Plans have been approved to continue developing this site - to transform it into something quite unique to the area, while still preserving its rich heritage.
